AUC - Schola ludus & Summer School

SCHOLA LUDUS is an international summer school for university students and graduates from technical studies and natural sciences. The aim of Schola Ludus is to introduce field of Physical Biology and Biotechnology to students who are interested in postrgradual PhD. study at the School of Complex Systems, FFWP, University of South Bohemia. Project leaders are internationaly well known scientists from the Czech republic

In the year 2007, Schola Ludus project was cofinanced by European social fund and budget of the Czech republic (project CZ.04.1.03/3.2.15.2/0360) "European social fund (abbreviation ESF) helps to the development of employment and its support, bussiness background, equal opportunities and investment in human resources." Since May 2009, Schola Ludus became the part of another project (CZ.1.07/2.3.00/09.0203) within it is still cofinanced by ESF and the budget of the Czech republic.

Schola Ludus participants will actively work on announced scientifical projects according to their own choice. Solving scientifical project, students will increase their scientifical skills and they will find out how work in a small scientifical group is.

Except interesting scientifical work students can follow interesting non-scientifical program as well. See the program of Schola Ludus.

For example:
Excursions to the laboratories and work places of University of South Bohemia, Biological center of Academy of Science (Ceske Budejovice city), Institute of Parasitology ASCR and, of course, laboratories of Academy and university center in Nove Hrady
Excursions to Agriculture University in Tulln, Stahlwelt Linz, Bosch Ceske Budejovice
Regular cycle of interesting lecture given by well known world speakers and scientists - this year for example prof. Valasek, Dr. Giboda, doc. Cerny, doc. Jizba
Cultural events (music concerts, exhibitions, dance)
Sport - volleyball, biking, walking, swimming, table tennis, etc.
Student mini-congress: All the Schola Ludus students will present their research results to the scientific community and to other participants.

3. contact leader of the project
4. you will be informed if you were accepted by the project leader or not.
5. we will send you all the details about the participation at the summer school and an invitation letter you can use to get your visa etc.
