The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, condemns invading Ukraine by Russian Federation. As a part of public higher education, the Faculty subscribes to the principles of democracy, freedom and support for the inviolability of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. In line with the restrictions on citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus (non-issuance of visas, limited transport connections), these students will not be considered for any Summer School project.
Schola ludus is an international summer school for university students organized by University of South Bohemia, Institute of Complex Systems FFPW.
The aim of the summer school is to attract talented students to the research and development carrier at the university and private companies:
The students are involved into real research projects
The projects are supervised by the experts in the field
The mixture of project (university/company, biological/technical) provide the possibility of multi-disciplionary work
International environment motivates to learn, explore and enjoy
1 month (July) of work on interesting projects
The students work in the team on the real research project under the supervision of the experts in the field. Both, biologically and technically oriented projects are offered every year. Students are introduced into the research topic and develop their own solution of the specific problem. They prepare the presentation of the project results and report it to the committee to improve their presentation skills. The part of the summer school are specialized lectures, excursions and social events for the students.
How to apply
1. choose one of the available projects as primary project and one as secondary project (in the case you will not be selected for the primary you can be selected for secondary project)
2. register for the project using online registration form until 14.5.2024
3. project supervisor will select the students and contact you until 15.5.2024
4. selected students will get the details about participation together with invitation letter and support for the visa process
